As a nonprofit, we have no investors or shareholders. We're fully committed to you and need your commitment in return.
We're actively designing and developing the features necessary to make TrueCenter successful. Our plan is to release our Alpha and Beta in 2018. The more donations we receive, the faster we can move. Public release should be available towards the end of 2018 or early 2019.
Yes. Any person over the age of 13 that lives in the United States can create one free TrueCenter account. We won't allow a person to have multiple accounts.
Sustaining members will have additional features, a unique Supporter badge, and first access to TrueCenter-sponsored Meetups.
Not yet. We're working on our 501(c)(3) compliance. It can take months for the government to approve this status. Until then, donations aren't tax-deductible.
Eventually, you should be able to donate as much as you would like and take a tax-deduction for doing so. That's our goal.
We'll create a sophisticated system for user authentication and authorization. This will include geo-fencing access to TrueCenter to people within the United States and potentially ID validation before users can interact with the network.
Never. We are strong believers in the First Amendment.
We do retain the right to remove content or suspend accounts of members that have broken our Terms of Service. We won't tolerate any emotional or physical threat, or hate speech of any kind, even if you're famous.
Despite the flaws inherent in social media, it's ability to efficiently communicate ideas is unquestionable. There's no going back. We're choosing to reform this system from within and encourage people to supplement their social media use with real-world connections via Meetups.
No. We're a nonprofit, which means we can't transfer any donations we receive into a for-profit company.
Personally, we're turning down more lucrative financial opportunities to work on this. Because we believe we must shape our political future by refining the systems of social interaction driving our behavior.
We understand not everyone will be able to provide a financial donation. That's ok. We want to be the platform for all Americans to talk about politics. Not just the financially well-off.
Despite the irony, we'd love you to share our website with others in your circle. Connect with us on Twitter and Facebook. And subscribe to our newsletter.
